Shared workspaces + departments
In developmentWhat a company is actually buying
A shared board for every project and every routine, live for everyone on it.
Take accounts payable. The manager sets up the run that happens every month: pull the statements, match the invoices, flag the exceptions, cut the checks. It comes back on schedule without anyone rebuilding it. A one-off lands mid-month and gets added to the same board. Nobody has to ask where anything stands: the moment someone checks a task off, it changes for everyone, stamped with who did it, when, and whatever they noted on the way past. "Vendor says the second invoice is a duplicate, holding it."
That's the difference between a group of people who all take notes and a company that can see its own work.
Shared workspaces are being built now and are not part of the Organization plan yet. Everything else on this page works today. We'll say so here the day they ship, and nobody is charged for them before then.

How does the first-month price work?
You pay $1 once on Personal, or $5 once on Pro, and that covers your first month outright. Monthly billing at the full rate, $10 or $20, begins at the start of month two and continues automatically. We'll email you before that first full-price charge, and you can cancel any time from your account settings; cancel before month two and the opener is all you ever pay.
Can I pay for a year at once?
Yes, on every paid plan: $99 a year for Personal, $189 for Pro, or $1,500 for an Organization plus $250 for each person past the first 5. Paying annually is instead of the first-month price rather than as well as it, because an opener covering your first month has nothing to apply to on a plan billed once a year.
Why doesn't Personal have meetings?
Because a Monday safety call is not what somebody keeping a personal notebook is here for, and charging them for it would be charging for weight they'd never lift. Meetings, which is the agenda, the notes, the actions and the standing series that remembers what was said last time, are the whole of what Pro adds, which is why they're absent from Personal rather than rationed.
What happens to my notes if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted, ever. The free limits apply again, which means your newest 100 notes stay editable and older ones become read-only. Start paying again and everything unlocks exactly as it was.
Do I lose anything by staying on free?
Not the parts that matter. Live sync between your phone and desk, offline capture, tags, checklists, deadlines and reminders are on every plan. Personal lifts the ceilings and adds group chats and texting notes in; Pro adds meetings and the company directory on top.
When do shared workspaces arrive?
They're in development, and they're Organization-only, because a board with departments on it only means something with a company behind it, which is why Pro doesn't include them. Until they ship, an Organization is Pro for everyone with a seat, plus seat management and pooled storage. That's what you'd be paying for today, and it's what the comparison table above says. We'd rather you buy the plan for what it does now and get the workspaces as they land than pay for a promise.
Can I get my notes out?
Any time, on any plan, from your account settings: one JSON file with every note, tag, checklist, deadline, chat and connection. That's a right, not a feature.
How does Organization billing work?
$150 a month covers the first 5 people. Each person after that is $25 a month. A seat is one named person. Members without a seat still belong to the organization and keep everything they've written, they're simply on the free tier until you give them one.
Prices in US dollars. Subscriptions renew until canceled, and you can cancel any time from your account settings. See the terms.
