It piles up on purpose. One pass at a desk clears a week in minutes.On every plan
You write all week without stopping to organize. The pile waits. Then at a desk it starts with your tags rather than your notes: one key sends a whole tag to Work or Life, and every note carrying it goes at once, sub-tags and all. One key can file a dozen notes, and that tag keeps filing after the pass is over, because anything you write under it from then on files itself as you save it and never joins the pile. Only what is left comes a card at a time: the notes no tag could answer for, on the same two keys, then anything with no tag at all, on the arrow keys, offering three tags and a door to the rest, ordered by what you have reached for across your last 60 notes rather than by an all-time count. A tag you have already sorted is never asked about again. Mis-file one and every card is reversible until you close the pass. When the last one goes, it says so.

Only if you turn it on. Then it offers, and one key ignores it.
It stays off until you switch it on, per account, and nothing leaves your board while it is off. Switched on, it reads the words you already wrote and proposes what it found in them. Nothing is ever written to a note because it was proposed: one key keeps it, one key ignores it, and a kind of proposal you have ignored enough times stops being offered.

And with it switched off, on the free plan, or with no signal at all, the plain half still runs and no model is involved in it: a date typed in words becomes a chip while you are typing, somebody already on your board is matched by name, and a phrase like “report back to” is caught by pattern. That is the floor under the whole thing, and it is the honest answer to not wanting anything read at all.

You are never asked which side a note is while you are writing it. Whatever is undecided waits, and gets answered in one pass at a desk, on the arrow keys, most-used tags first.

An undated note is a thought, not a debt.
There are no streaks here and nothing keeps score. A note with no date sits in the drawer and never renders as owed work, so it stays a thought until you decide it is a job. One you are waiting on somebody else for goes quiet until the morning it is due back, then returns into today’s work with a nudge. A quiet you cannot trust to end would just be forgetting. Suggestions stay off until you turn them on, per account, and nothing is sent while they are off. When there is nothing worth saying, the screen says nothing.

Your subscription is yours, and it goes with you.
Most tools assume everybody in a conversation works for the same company, and in a lot of trades almost nobody does. One subscription of your own joins every operation that invites you, as many as hire them. None of them can see the others, nobody buys a seat for you, and when a job ends the record of what you did on it leaves with you, because it was always yours.

Import from Google Keep, Notion, or any app that exports text or Markdown. A Keep export brings the dates the notes were written on. A folder of text files has none inside it, so those land underneath everything you already have rather than on top of it. Tag the people in them, then take the whole pile through the same sorting pass: left or right for Work or Life, arrow keys for the tag. Nothing reads them and nothing invents a deadline for you. They are old notes, and they stay old notes until you say otherwise. The graveyard does not have to stay a graveyard.
why this exists
I have a mind that struggles everyday with the symptoms of ADHD and OCD. A thought shows up in my head in the middle of something else and repeats itself until I write it down. And if there are three of them at once, then I will lose one and know that I forgot something but struggle to get it back.
Now the thought pops up in my head, it goes right onto the board, and the loop stops. I regularly derail mid-task, look up, and the board tells me what I was doing. That alone changes my days.
This whole app was built that way: An idea lands while I am working, it becomes a note, and then it waits its turn. It doesn't continue to derail me and make my mind wander. When the task in front of me is done, there is a board full of ideas now that I never had to be afraid of forgetting.
I built it for my own head. It turns out a lot of heads work like mine.
